Women's International League for Peace and Freedom
The Brown Co Chapter of WILPF is sponsor of the longest on-going peace vigil in this area held Sats at 6pm outside the Brown Co. court house.. A major goals of WILPF is demilitarization and alteratives to war since it's founding in 1915. There are branches world wide. In Indiana the most active groups are in Bloomington and Nashville. We are deeply involved in social and economic justice issues, especially as they pertain to women and children.
Current campaigns include Peace in the Middle East and
Exposing the bottled water industry.
We meet in the Brown Co Public Library on the 3rd Monday of each month at 7pm. The public is welcome to attend.
