Poverty continues in Indiana

I have not written here for awhile because I have been working on the Senate campaign. Traveling around Indiana I see that poverty is indeed everywhere in this state. We have to work on it one town at a time. Bloomington is doing what they can but more needs to be done. We as citizens need to demand from our government policy makers that they bring in professionals to decrease poverty in our state. It effects everyone living here. We need job creation programs that work (not in name only), low income housing, and transportation for the poor. This can be accomplished by teaching people the simple techniques to start a small business and making sure the banks provide loans to get started. Also manufacturing can be brought back to Indiana. The best thing to happen recently in regards to poverty is that people are becoming more aware and more compassionate that this is something we all need to do together to solve it. Where there is awareness there is hope. We trust 2011 there will be a decrease in poverty in Indiana. Let's work together toward that goal! www.tamyraforsenate.com
