Joanne Shank is a graduate of the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. She studied for several years with Chinese artist Xing Bai Li, and was greatly influenced by his work and the Chinese style of painting.
Joanne is fascinated by the combination of spontaneity and precision, and paints with bamboo brush on rice paper.
Welcomes commisions of birds and vegetation.
