Finch's Brasserie was established in Bloomington, Indiana in the spring of 2008 by Chef Jeff Finch and his wife Candace. Jeff is a 1996 graduate of the New England Culinary Institute in Montpelier, Vermont. The restaurant features local and organic produce, meats and cheeses from the areas fine farms and cheese artisans. The Mediterranean-American menu includes both traditional regional dishes from the countries bordering the Mediterranean Sea as well as local and American favorites. Diners can choose from: pizzettas cooked in the wood fired oven, pasta dishes and savory entrees which allow you to choose accompaniments from the daily selection of sauces, vegetables and starches. The seasonal menu is designed to showcase unique flavor combinations which can be enjoyed with a choice of 60 beautiful (yet reasonably priced) wines and 55 artisan beers.
Finch's is a committed supporter of the Slow Food Movement and the local farming community. Finch's, located in the heart of the BEAD District, also supports our local artists and musicians. Upstairs at Finch's features live music every Thursday night with the Free Range Music Hour and every Saturday night with Bubbles & Jazz with Pat Harbison , a world renowned trumpeter from Indiana University's Jacobs School of Music. Upstairs at Finch's was designed as a gallery space to showcase our local artists. It has been an honor to exhibit Steve Raymer's photography "From Asia and Beyond" and Kurt Larsen's large scale, abstract oil paintings.
