Bodycenter Bloomington is a pilates and bodywork studio where clients are seen individually or in small groups of up to four. When working with a client individually, I combine massage, bodywork (such as muscle energy techinique and assisted stretching), pilates and movement analysis to assist them out of pain. I specialize in working with those recovering from injury, surgery and chronic pain. Contact with other practioners such as doctors, chiropractors or physical therapists is encouraged to best serve your ultimate goals for health. I have been teaching pilates sinces 1996 with certifications from the Physical Mind Institute and an apprenticeship with Carey Regan. I am a certified STOTT Pilates Instructor and Instructor Trainer since 2005. I have been a Licensed Massage Therapist in the state of Washington since 1996 and incorporate many healing modalities into a session depending on what is most appropriate for the client. I may use one or a combination of methods such as: Deep Tissue, Myofascial Release, Trigger Point, LomiLomi or Reike. Acutonics is another modality I use based on the meridian system associated with Acupuncture. Specially calibrated tuning forks are placed on the acupuncture points while bowls, bells and chimes facilitate harmony by balancing the body, mind and emotions. I also have special training in pre and post-natal pilates and massage.
